Jon Jones defends Bill Cosby over rape allegation
UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones defended Bill Cosby, who has recently caught heat for a comedy routine from the 1980’s in which he makes jokes about using drugs to rape women.
Jones was approached by TMZ outside of LAX International airport, where the champ was asked about the allegations toward Bill Cosby.
“I love Bill Cosby.”
Jones quickly recognized the allegations thrown at Cosby and asked for clarifications.
Oh yeah, supposedly, what’d he do? He raped somebody, right?”
Jones then used a classic Bill Cosby routine to crack a joke about the situation before defending Cosby, someone he says he looked up to as a child.
“Nah..nuh uh, not the Jello Pudding,”
“Nah, I don’t think Bill Cosby would do that. I’ve never met him but from what I’ve seen, he seems to be a class act. You know? I kind of grew up admiring him as a black actor and um…I really hope that’s not true. I mean, he’s Bill Cosby, he shouldn’t have to take it they should be…”
