A bantamweight fight between Johnny Bedford and Nick Denis was set to take place at UFC on FOX 3. However, Johnny Bedford has been forced off the card. Replacing him will be fellow bantamweight Roland Delorme.
Roland Delorme most recently fought at The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale, where he scored a 3rd round submission victory over Josh Ferguson, in his UFC debut. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native, Delorme, is 7-1 in his MMA career and made the announcement today via Facebook that he would be facing Denis in two weeks.
“I am very pleased to announce that I will be fighting Nick Denis on UFC on FOX 3 in two weeks in New Jersey. Nick come and get your love.”
Nick Denis looked very good the last time we saw him, which was at the UFC on FX: Guillard vs Miller event. He used some brutal elbows to score a 1st round KO over Joseph Sandoval. That KO earned Denis knockout of the night honors. Sound familiar?
The fight between Nick “The Ninja of Love” Denis and Roland “Stunning” Delorme will be broadcast live on Facebook May 5th. Be sure to catch the action online and tune into FOX later that night for the UFC on FOX 3 main card.
Roland may have taken this fight on short notice, but his BJJ game is no joke, as he’s proven in his past bouts. So which Canadian bantamweight will go home with their hand raised?
