Joe Lauzon Sets UFC Record with 13th Bonus, Surpasses Anderson Silva

Joe Lauzon set a UFC record with his victory over Michael Chiesa on Friday night at “UFC Fight Night 50”. He was rewarded an extra $50,000 for putting on the “Fight of the Night” and surpassed Anderson Silva for receiving the most post-fight bonuses in UFC history.

Lauzon received his first bonus in his octagon debut when he knocked out Jens Pulver in a major upset at UFC 63 in 2006. The win earned him Knockout of the Night honors, the first and last time he would ever receive the bonus.

Joe Lauzon has received 6 Fight of the Night bonuses, 6 Submission of the Night bonuses and 1 Knockout of the Night bonus. Lauzon would complete the Grand Slam if receives a Performance of the Night bonus in one of his future performances in the octagon.
