Jessica Eye passes recreational drug test following UFC 170

By Chris Taylor - February 28, 2014

Jessica Eye (10-2 MMA) may have suffered the first loss of her UFC career at this past weekend’s UFC 170 event in Las Vegas, but according to a report from MMAFighting.com, she did pass her recreational drug test.

According to Nevada Athletic Commission chairman Francisco Aguilar, Eye took a performance-enhancing drug test prior to her UFC 170 bout with Canadian Alexis Davis, as well as a recreational drug test following the fight.

The results of the latter were negative, while the ‘PED’ test results have yet to be announced by the NAC.

Eye had tested positive for cannabinoids following her UFC 166 win over former Strikeforce titleholder Sarah Kaufman last October. As a result, Jessica’s victory was overturned to a no-decision.

Eye suffered a close split-decision defeat to Alexis Davis last weekend, thus dropping her professional record to 10-2.
