Jacare — ‘I’m here to take Weidman’s Belt’

‘Jacare’ Souza is still waiting to see if he will be next in line for a shot at the UFC middleweight title or if Luke Rockhold will get it instead.

Souza talked to Portal do Vale Tudo about the potential shot and says he isn’t one of those doubters and completely believes in the abilities of the champion Chris Weidman.

“My styles matches his. I have seen him fight at ADCC, he is really good on the ground. Not to mention he is a Renzo Gracie blackbelt, so he is not anybody. Many people say he didn’t convince yet, but yes he did. I’m here to take the belt of this great champion who is Chris Weidman. Anyone can fight me on the ground, but sooner or later, they’ll pay for it.”
