Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza is currently preparing for his UFC 194 #1 contender fight against Yoel Romero on December 12th.

Given that styles make matchups, this bout is practically guaranteed to produce fireworks!

Romero will be riding a 7-fight win streak into the bout, that saw him most recently defeat former champion Lyoto Machida. Jacare on the other hand is riding an 8-fight win streak into the bout that has seen him pick up back to back submission wins in his last two fights.

Ahead of the bout, Jacare spoke to Portal Do Vale Tudo to discuss how former UFC middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva has helped him prepare for the bout.

“I’m good physically, technically and mentally. I’m prepared to put on one of the best performances of the night. I’m confident and I have been working hard.”

“Anderson Silva helped me because he is a southpaw as well, he knows a lot of stuff. I can assure you he is well physically, too. He has the energy of a boy.”

Who do you have winning this pivotal middleweight clash? Sound off below!
