Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp recently took to Facebook with allegations that an unnamed manger was cohercing fighters into signing with their management team. Knapp failed to mention who that manager was accused, however the Invicta FC boss was very clear as to what the allegations were concerning. Alleging that the unnamed management company was manipulating fighters to sign with their team based on positive relationships with Shannon Knapp. Knapp cleared the air of these allegations and stated her affluent support for all fighters.
Knapp’s Facebook post reads:
Following these allegations, everyone in the MMA community wanted to know who the shady manager was. That was until Women’s MMA pioneer Tara LaRosa dropped a bomb on Twitter, claiming that it was Addison Sports Management’s Brett Atchley who tried to have her “blackballed” from Invicta FC and Strikeforce. While BJPENN.com was unable to find the original Tweet from Larosa, our friends at MiddleEasy.com managed to get the Tweet before it was deleted.
Tara’s original Tweet is was as follows:
As mentioned before, LaRosa did remove this post from her feed, but she continued to accuse Atchley of shady dealings via Twitter. LaRosa said, “I thought he would just fade away, that’s why I didn’t make a deal about it before, but Brett Atchley continues to terrorize other fighters.”
Less than an hour later, LaRosa made this interesting post:
While he is innocent until proven guilty, it would appear Brett Atchley and Addison Sports Management have some explaining to do. What does Penn Nation think?
