CAGE WARRIORS Fighting Championship is pleased to confirm that it has signed a 12-month deal with sports broadcasting giant ESPN International.
The agreement will see Cage Warriors events over the next year televised by ESPN in Latin America, the Pacific Rim, Africa and the Middle East.
In addition to CWFC’s existing television partners, which include the likes of FX, Sky Sports, Fight Network, Fight Now TV and Sportklub, this deal with ESPN International means Cage Warriors will be beamed around the world into 105 million homes.
No other non-US mixed martial arts promotion can boast a television footprint of that size.
“The popularity of Cage Warriors has gone through the roof this year,” said CWFC director Graham Boylan.
“We’re constantly inundated with requests from fans wanting to know where they can watch the action live and if the shows are to be repeated. We want to make sure we give as many people as possible a chance to see Cage Warriors on TV.
“The sport is growing, the appetite for it is huge and we’re eager to satisfy that. Signing with ESPN International makes sense for both parties and I’m delighted that it’ll allow more people to enjoy Cage Warriors.
“The timing is also perfect because although we’ve had four big shows already this year, the best is still yet to come.”
With Cage Warriors shows packed with some of the best established and up-and-coming talent in MMA, the organisation has soared in popularity in 2012.
CWFC has embarked on a busy schedule of international events this year, with 17 due to take place in 13 different countries.
Beirut, London, Kiev and Dubai have all played host to CWFC events already in 2012 and the Jordanian capital of Amman is the next stop on the agenda for Fight Night 5 on April 12.
