‘I Gave Khabib A Taste of His Own Medicine’

ANTHONY-PETTIS

Khabib Nurmagomedov suffered a severe knee injury and was forced out of his spot at “UFC 186” against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. The bout was viewed as a title eliminator, but now Cerrone will be facing John Makdessi instead.

As soon as it was announced that Nurmy suffered an injury, Anthony Pettis was quick to jump on the opportunity to pour salt in the wound. Mocking a previous interaction between the two, Pettis turned the tables and wished his foe that he hoped they were sending him decent disability checks.

Pettis recently sat down with the folks at MMASucka and stood by his ground in calling the injured Khabib out. “He was talking big crap when I was injured, how I was a paper champ and scared to fight people. Injuries happen man and there is nothing you can do about them. He got a little taste of his own medicine.”

Pettis continued, “He probably didn’t wish injuries (to happen to others) but when you talk about injuries and other people when they are hurt, it happens to you. That is why I said it to him.”

Do you think Anthony Pettis was right in calling out Khabib after he was forced out of his bout at UFC 186?
