Alexander Gustasson was supposed to be fighting Anthony Johnson at UFC on FOX 13, however Johnson was indefinitely suspended recently (Read about it HERE), leaving ‘The Mauler’ without an opponent.
Following UFC 178 this past weekend, Rashad Evans expressed his desire to fight the former title challenger, Gustafsson.
“When I left, I was at the top and Alexander Gustafsson has been getting better with every single fight. Dana, set it up.”
Now Gustafsson says that he wants to fight former champion Rashad Evans, who is currently recovering from a torn ACL. He shared his thoughts with UFC announcer Andy Friedlander earlier today leading up to UFC Fight Night Stockholm.
“Absolutely. I want to fight Rashad, too.”
