Gustafsson: I Favor Johnson in Fight with Jones

Alexander Gustafsson was knocked out for the first time in his career tonight when he stepped into the octagon against Anthony Johnson. Johnson earned the right to face Jon Jones for the title with his victory at UFC on FOX 14.

During the post fight presser, Gustafsson was asked who he would choose as the favorite in Johnson’s and Jones’ future matchup. Gus confidently responded, “Anthony is the favorite.”

Johnson who was clearly thankful for his opponent’s vote in confidence replied with a polite, “Thank you!”.

It was a funny exchange, but it is important to note that Gustafsson felt the power of both Jon Jones and Anthony Johnson. Do you think Gus’ opinion is right or will Jones retain?
