Former Welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre will be returning to Los Angeles next week to repair his torn left ACL. According to UFC Tonight, he will be utilizing the same physicians that helped him through his first injury in 2011.
St. Pierre told UFC Tonight that he sustained the injury last week during a training session. His foot was caught one of the mats and as he moved he heard a pop. Despite tearing his ACL, however, St. Pierre claims to not be in any pain this time around.
Last year, St. Pierre decided to take an indefinite hiatus from the sport after his controversial bout with Johny Hendricks at UFC 167. While he has still kept his fans updated on his vacations, visits, and trainings via social media, he has yet to confirm a full retirement, or give any dates for a possible return.
