Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar, who coaches opposite former lightweight champion BJ Penn on The Ultimate Fighter Season 19 show, has revealed to Bloody Elbow who his coaches were this season.
“I brought the guys I work with every day and believe in. I brought in Mark Henry, Ricardo Almeida, Renzo Gracie, Anderson Franca, and some of my teammates, Marlon Moraes, Edson Barboza, and Akira Corassani, so I just brought the guys I work with on a daily basis,” Edgar said.
“The show just got done taping last week, it was a great experience, a lot of work, lots of fun, and I’m excited for April when it comes out,” he said.
Edgar and Penn will face off in a featherweight matchup after the season airs, in their third fight against each other.
