Fitch: “I’ll trade some brain cells for some money”

As more and more research emerges on the risk of brain damage associated with fighting, Jon Fitch says it’s worth the risk as long as fighters are being paid correctly.
Fitch spoke on The MMA Hour to discuss the matter.
“If we’re getting paid correctly, it shouldn’t matter. We know the risk; we know what’s going to happen.”
“It’s my decision. If I want to do that, I should be allowed to do that,” said Fitch. “I’ll trade some brain cells for some money for my children so they don’t have to work when they’re older.”
