Fight Night 33 Results: Palelei Dominates Barry, Wins By Way Of Knockout in 1st Round

By bjpenndotcom - December 6, 2013

Soa Palelei wasted little to no time tonight and made quick work of fan-favorite Pat Barry.

Palelei immediately shot for a takedown and even though he was stuffed, it was clear that he had the power advantage right off the bat. He shot for another takedown moments later and ate a knee in the process. Even though Barry’s knee cracked into Palelei’s skull, Palelei still ended up on top and it wasn’t long before he was in full mount.

Pat Barry was helpless and ate a barrage of punches. One punch, two punches, three punches too many and Barry eventually got knocked silly. It was clear that Barry was out of it as his hands were motionless by his side; he absorbed unnecessary punishment and the referee was forced to call a stop to the fight.

This is Soa Palelei’s second victory inside the octagon.

Soa Palelei defeated Pat Barry by way of Knockout (Punches) 2:09 of Round 1
