‘Fedor Has Not Signed With The UFC’

By BJPENN.COM News - September 2, 2015

Don’t run into the streets screaming with joy just yet fight fans. MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko has not signed with the UFC, yet.

There was a report that surfaced yesterday, from Combat Press, that stated Fedor had indeed signed with the UFC and was currently in the process of booking an opponent. Awesome right?

Well, according to his longtime friend and sudo manager, Vadim Finkelchtein, Fedor has yet to sign with anyone and is still in the talking process.

Here’s what he told MMAFighting:

“Not yet. At this moment, we are just talking.”

The friend/not really manager stated that the UFC is still a possibility, but the report that said he is in fact already with the promotion is not accurate.

Yes, sorry readers. Fedor is not officially with the UFC yet. At this point do you think that’s the only place that makes sense for the heavyweight? He’s expressed interest in a potential rematch with Fabricio Werdum several times and says he wants to fight the best.

We already know that Bellator isn’t interested in signing him, so……

It’s pretty crazy to imagine Fedor in the UFC. It’s something fans thought would never happen, especially since they had a chance to sign him before and failed to do so, then of course he retired and put any hope of seeing him in the octagon to rest.

But now, yes now that ‘Last Emperor’ has returned and it looks more likely than ever that he’s heading to the biggest MMA promotion in the world. Do you think it will finally happen or are we all going to be let down again?
