Although Brimage is looking for a bout against Holloway, he also knows that you don’t always get what you ask for. With that in mind he brought up the name of another fighter who has been on quite a roll, having won his last four fights.

“Jeff Aronson is working on something and I can’t go into details with you yet,” Brimage said. “I kind of want Darren Elkins, because I’m not going to lie to you, he’s doing really well in the UFC and I don’t like that. Nobody does well in the UFC besides me and I don’t like that.”

In just under a month UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo will defend his title against former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar in what many consider to be a superfight. Brimage not only told us who he thought would win, but how he feels it can be done.

“I favor Frankie because I see things in Aldo’s game that in my personal belief I could exploit,” explained the ATT trained featherweight. “Frankie is an OG and he’s got nasty foot work, great boxing, beautiful head movement and his wrestling game is on point. In my personal opinion he can take advantage of the holes I see in Aldo’s game and he comes out the winner.”

Brimage then explained how he would approach a potential match-up with Frankie Edgar.

“I can’t tell you because one day I’m going to fight Frankie and I don’t want him going back and listening to this interview,” Brimage said.

The conversation went back to Brimage’s future in entertainment and he explained to us what he tried to do before becoming a professional mixed martial artist.

“Before MMA I was trying to become a porn star,” Brimage said while laughing. “To be honest with you it’s a blessing that I came from Alabama to Florida because if I was a born Floridian I would be in so much trouble right now. It’s so easy to get in the porn and someone could take advantage of me. They could tell me I get to have sex with all of these beautiful women for $5 and I’d be like give me that contract! I’d be stuck having sex with all of these women for $5.”

On January 26th in Chicago the UFC will present UFC on Fox 6 and the aforementioned Rampage Jackson will be fighting Glover Teixeira in what looks to be his last bout for the organization. Being that Brimage has looked up to Jackson; we thought he’d like to give his thoughts on Jackson’s possible exit from the promotion.

“Man I feel sick to my stomach because I’m not going to be able to be at that event and witness it,” said a disappointed Brimage. “Rampage is the reason why I do this. It just sucks because I always wanted to be on the same card as Rampage. I thought both of us would win and both us could go get some Asian women together. It’s just sad that this is  going to be the last one for him, but he’s leaving kind of on top. Not to poke fun of anybody, but Chuck Liddell kept on coming for that last hurrah and I was like don’t do it Chuck. Then he went and got knocked out. I’d rather Rampage go ahead and leave like this because I want to see another A-Team.”

Special co-host Josh Nason brought a very interesting, little known fact about Brimage. He is one of very few fighters to have been on not one, but two MMA reality shows. He competed on season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter as well as the BET networks Iron Ring. Brimage explained his experience on the latter.

“I think the proper term for it would be called a clusterf**k,” Brimage admitted. “It wasn’t really a reality show because there was no reality to it. We came in and waited three hours for the rappers to show up and then when they showed up it was time to fight. You got some guy from the street telling you to warm up and I was like this isn’t the street, I’m supposed to get paid for this. I never got paid for it, but it’s BET, what are you going to do? The last show we went to New Orleans and it was a very positive experience because it happened right after Hurricane Katrina. It was pretty cool seeing that New Orleans was starting to get rebuilt, but the show itself was about the rappers. They would tell us to be there at a certain time and the rappers would show up late and we wouldn’t fight until around 11pm. I’m like a lot of fighters as I get nervous before I fight and I don’t like to eat, but now I’m starving and I can’t eat because I have to fight soon. I didn’t fight until almost 1am and that just doesn’t make any sense.”
