Eddie Alvarez Suffers Concussion, Out of Bellator PPV Main-Event

Are Bellator pay-per-views cursed?

It is going to be a bit longer until we get to see the rubber match between Bellator Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez and Michael Chandler. Alvarez has been forced to pull out of the championship bout after suffering a concussion two weeks ago.

Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney is clearly upset about the recent change of events. In a recent interview with Brett Okamoto of ESPN, Rebney stated, “The reality is that I’m disappointed… We’re not going to be able to see the trilogy finished right now — and I stress the words, right now. We still have a huge card on Saturday.”
