Eddie Alvarez On Thiago Silva: He Was Dealt A Bad Hand

By BJPENN.COM News - September 16, 2014

Thiago Silva was recently released from prison and resigned by the UFC after the prosecutors for his case were unable to make a case against the light heavyweight fighter. Silva was acquitted of all charges, and was resigned by the UFC the very same day.

Newly signed UFC lightweight Eddie Alvarez spoke with Fox Sports about the incident with his teammate saying:

“He was run through the ringer. Every once in awhile we all get a bad hand dealt to us. He got a bad hand dealt to him. He went through it and came out unstained and successful. Why not [re-sign him]?”

“He’s a hell of a guy. It doesn’t shock me that things went the way they went, that he came out unscathed.”

Who do you want to see Thiago Silva face when he returns to the UFC?
