Eddie Alvarez Blasts Viacom and Spike This Weekend

Former Bellator FC lightweight champion, Eddie Alvarez, took to Twitter this weekend to call out the organization for their mistreatment of fighters and to announce that he will be speaking out shortly.

Tied up in a long-standing legal battle with the companies that own Bellator FC, Viacom and Spike, Eddie Alvarez has been kept from fighting for the past 7 months.  Last week, Alvarez announced that he was forced to sell his retirement home in order to make ends meet during this ordeal.

This past weekend, Alvarez began to post on Twitter a number of alleged cases where Viacom and Spike have mistreated other fighters.

Alvarez then went on to blast Spike and Viacom, somewhat relinquishing Bjorn Rebney from responsibility as a pawn to the larger companies.

Alvarez also announced that he will be talking on Ariel Helwani’s show, the MMA Hour podcast, on Monday.
