Another fight has been added to the UFC’s Cincinnati card.
Middleweights Ed Herman and Rafael Natal will square off during the UFC’s return to Cincinnati on Fox Sports 1, which will take place May 10th and emanate from the U.S. Bank Arena. UFC officials announced the addition to the card on Wednesday.
Ed Herman will be looking to bounce back from his last outing at UFC 167 in November, where we saw him drop a hard-fought decision to Thales Leites.
Rafael Natal will also be looking to get back to his winning ways; last year, the well-rounded BJJ black belt looked to be well on his way to title contention, until he ran into Tim Kennedy in November. Kennedy removed Natal from title contention by removing him from his consciousness with a shocking KO punch, late in the first round.
The card itself is still in its infancy, but this fight should be an excellent addition; Herman is a scrappy fighter who always seems to find himself in exciting fights, and Natal is the perfect opponent to bring the best out of both men.
Here’s how the card is shaping up so far:
•Ed Herman vs. Rafael Natal
•Soa Palelei vs. Ruan Potts
•Justin Salas vs. Ben Wall
