Despite TRT Issues Drysdale To Still Make UFC Debut

Despite a bothersome setback in the form of elevated testosterone, it appears as though Robert Drysdale’s UFC debut is still on tap for the future.

The renown Brasa Jiu-Jitsu representative has garnered quite the reputation through his skills on the mats and has looked to do the same in the octagon, that is until he was not medically cleared for his bout at UFC 167 due to an elevated T/E (testosterone/epitestosterone) ratio; a ratio of 19.4 to 1, more specifically.  This marks the second time his debut has been delayed, as a staph infection struck down a prospective match with Ednaldo Oliveira at UFC 163.

Drysdale filed for TRT exemption in July only to be denied by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The NSAC’s Executive Director Keith Kizer has stated that the state’s commissioners will eventually decide wether or not Drysdale will get a chance to elaborate and protest the situation.  Despite this snag in the Las Vegas native’s plans, there is no indication of illegal steroids and there has yet to be  any disciplinary action taken against him. A UFC representative has reassured everyone that Drysdale will still receive his shot on the big stage when he untangles his medical issues.

“Obviously, Robert needs to establish that he is medically fit to participate and apply for the appropriate licensure. Assuming he is able to do this, he will fight for the organization at some point in the future.”

Although he may have some issues to resolve with the NSAC, it appears as though the future is still bright for Robert Drysdale and his career.
