Demetrious Johnson Set To Face Chris Cariaso At UFC 177

UFC Flyweight kingpin Demetrious Johnson is set to face Chris Cariaso in the co-main event of UFC 177 on August 30th.

Cariaso is 7-3 in his UFC career, and is currently on a three fight winning streak that saw him defeat Illiarde Santos, Danny Martinez, and most recently Louis Smolka in May.

champion Demetrious Johnson on the other hand is tied for the second-longest active win streak in the UFC stemming back to 2012 when he defeated Ian ‘Uncle Creepy’ McCall. Since then Johnson has defeated Joseph Benavidez, John Dodson, John Moraga, Joseph Benavidez again, and most recently Ali Bagautinov in June.

UFC 177 takes place August 30th from Sacramento California and is headlined by TJ Dillashaw and Renan Barao where TJ Dillashaw will look to defend his bantamweight strap.
