Daniel Sarafian Moves To Welterweight – Meets Kiichi Kunimoto At UFC 174

Former “Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” finalist Daniel Sarafian is going to try his luck at welterweight.

Sarafian will be making the cut from middleweight (185) to welterweight (170) in preparation for a bout with Japanese mainstay Kiichi Kunimoto, at UFC 174 this June. The show will emanate out of Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C.

Sarafian looked like a strong contender to win his season of TUF, but an injury forced him out of his bout with Cezar Ferreira. When he made his professional debut in the UFC, he was met with average success, going just 1-2 in the Octagon. His losses include Cezar Ferreira and C.B. Dollaway.

On the other side of the cage, Kunimoto is currently riding a five-fight winning streak, and will look to grab his second win in the UFC when he meets Sarafian.

As always, stay tuned to BJPenn.com for future updates to the card.
