Dana/Ronda Say Cyborg Fight Still Possible

By BJPENN.COM News - August 21, 2014

When it comes to big fights inside the UFC, none can be bigger than a fight between Ronda Rousey and Cris Cyborg.

It’s the fight fans want.

Cyrborg currently fights in a weight-class not offered by the UFC, and therefore doesn’t fight for the promotion. However, the Invicta FC champion is making the jump down in weight, with the sole purpose of challenging Ronda Rousey for the title.

During a recent fan Q&A in China (Replay HERE), both Rousey and White discussed the potential bout.

“I’d love that [fight], too,” said Ronda. “But I don’t make fights. I just show up and win them.”

The UFC President followed up with,

“It’s a complicated question,” said White. “I know Ronda wants that fight. Cyborg is ‘going to fight at 135 pounds,’ apparently. She’s never fought at 135 pounds. She’s gonna make the weight. Do it in Invicta. We’ll see what happens and we’ll go from there. [Rousey] does want this fight. I know people talk a lot of s**t like she doesn’t but she does.”
