Urijah Faber has been involved with the sport of Mixed Martial Arts for over a decade.
The longest reigning WEC champion and perennial UFC bantamweight contender, Faber has been impressing audiences for years.
On that list of impressed spectators is UFC President Dana White, who during the UFC on FOX 9 post-fight press conference, told reporters that Urijah’s success as an aging fighter is just like Vitor Belfort.
“Faber’s in this Vitor zone right now. The older he gets, the better he gets. If you look at how good McDonald really is, and people were so excited for this fight, he literally shut Michael down the entire fight and finished him with a great performance.”
Belfort is currently awaiting the winner of next week’s UFC 168 main event between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman.
