Dana White: This Win Puts Matt Brown in Fights with Title Contenders

By bjpenndotcom - May 10, 2014

Matt Brown defeated Erick Silva this past Saturday in one of the best televised fights in UFC history. During his post-fight speech, Brown let it be known that he wants to be next in line to face Johny Hendricks for his UFC Welterweight Championship. He asked those in attendance to convince Dana White and they roared with approval.

Dana White has other thoughts, though.

The UFC President was impressed with Brown’s performance at ‘UFC Fight Night 40’, but during the post fight presser he stated that this win puts Brown in fights with title contenders.

Matt Brown is currently ranked number seven in the division right behind Hector Lombard who does not have a fight lined up. Tyron Woodley and Carlos Condit are free to fight as well (Carlos Condit once he returns from injury). Who would you like to see Matt Brown fight next?
