Dana White says UFC is ‘working on” Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort 2

By BJPENN.COM News - November 16, 2015

Anderson Silva spent nearly six years as the king of the middleweight division during his run with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. “The Spider” brought fans around the world to their feet with his knockouts in the octagon, but perhaps none were flashier than his front-kick to the face of Vitor Belfort.

Belfort has been patiently waiting to avenge that loss, and he may finally get his opportunity. According to Dana White, the two Brazilian legends’ paths may cross once again.

On a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience“, White told UFC commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan that they were trying to get the bout lined up. Rogan responded, “That’s the fight to make.”

White simply assured him, “I know… I don’t disagree. We’re working on it.”

Belfort’s path to the top of the middleweight division in 2011 was a quick one. While he possessed wins over the likes of Matt Lindland and Terry Martin in Affliction, he only claimed a victory over Rich Franklin in that UFC run. Things are a bit different, now. Belfort has hovered around the top of the middleweight division, beating everybody from Dan Henderson to now-title challenger Luke Rockhold. If there ever was a time for Belfort to avenge his loss it’s now.

Who do you think would win this rematch? Would Anderson Silva walk out with another knockout win, or would Vitor Belfort give him more of a challenge this time around? Share your thoughts and make your predictions in the comment section below!
