Dana White says Rashad Evans is “screwed” and will need surgery on injured knee

Things aren’t looking too good for Rashad Evans who was forced out of his bout with Daniel Cormier after injuring his knee during training.

If you’re wondering how bad the injury actually is just ask UFC President Dana White who stated that Rashad is “screwed” and will need surgery.

Bad luck for Rashad, who was set to face off against Cormier at the co-main event at UFC 170 under Ronda Rousey and Sara McMann.

A victory over the undefeated Cormier would have definitely looked good for Rashad who is coming of off back to back victories over Chael Sonnen and Dan Henderson.

Instead, Cormier will make his debut as a light heavyweight against newcomer Patrick Cummins.

This is not the first time that Rashad has had knee issues. Back in 2011 Rashad suffered from another knee injury forcing him to the sidelines and out of a bout with Shogun Rua. His then training partner Jon Jones then got the opportunity, and we all know how that one turned out.

Little details are available about the severity of Rashad’s knee injury.
