With the bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Gilbert Melendez cancelled, there doesn’t seem to be many that are willing to take on the undefeated Nurmagomedov. Even the usually game, Nate Diaz, turned down the opportunity to fight “The Eagle”.

Nurmagomedov made his debut at UFC on FX 1 back in January of 2012 and has gone undefeated since. He has made five appearances in the Octagon, coming out victorious each time out. He’s made quick work of fighters such as Kamal Shalorus and Thiago Tavares and most recently defeated Pat Healy via unanimous decision at UFC 165.

Apparently, according to UFC President Dana White, its becoming increasingly difficult to find the kid an opponent.

A fight between Nurmagomedov and tough as nails, Stockton born, Nate Diaz was suggested. However, Dana stated that he just can’t seem to find anyone down to fight Khabib.

Nurmagomedov was scheduled to face off against lightweight contender Gilbert Melendez at UFC 170. Their images where featured on the promotional poster for UFC 170 that were shown at the UFC 168 post- fight presser. However, that fight has been scrapped and now Nurmagomedov is left opponent-less. Now, with only six weeks until the event, it is within question whether an opponent will even be found.

So, lets hear it Penn Nation! Who do you think is the best matchup for the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov?
