Dana White responded to UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones’ comments about the UFC giving Alexander Gustafsson an easy fight to protect the rematch between Gustafsson and Jones by saying:

“Jon, I love you, but you’re not a matchmaker. Fight your fight, he’ll fight his fight, and don’t worry about it.”

“It makes you sound like you’re worried about it. When you talk like that, it sounds like you’re worried about it.”

Gustafsson gave Jones his toughest test yet in September when the two fought to a close controversial decision that saw Jones retain the title.

After the fight the UFC announced if Gustafsson won his next fight with Antonio Nogueira he would get a rematch with Jones. However Nogueira pulled out of the fight with a back injury. Jones still sounded off however saying he felt Gustafsson should have to face a tougher opponent and offered his advice saying that Gustafsson should fight Daniel Cormier for the number one contender spot.

This past weekend it was announced Gustafsson would be facing Jimi Manuwa in March.

What do you think PENNATION? is the UFC padding Gustafsson’s road back to a rematch?
