Dana White: Fighter Bonuses Here to Stay

In the past several weeks the topic of fighter compensation really heated up. So much so that the UFC boss threatened to get rid of their bonus structure in order to offset expenses and pay the lower tiered fighters more money.

That’s apparently not going to happen.

“At the last press conference, I talked to the press I told them we’re not doing away with the fight of the night bonuses,” White said during yesterday’s media call. “After I said that, I got a lot of feedback from the fighters. The fighters want the finish bonuses. They want the finish bonuses and they want the discretionary bonuses to stay the same, so, that’s that.”
