Cyborg Joining Bethe Correia’s Campaign Against Rousey’s ‘Horsewomen’?

Bethe Correia might be looking to go all pro wrestling on Shayna Baszler when they meet later this year at UFC 176 in Los Angeles.

Correia will be trying to defeat a second member of “The Four Horsewomen,” the name UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, Jessamyn Duke, Marina Shafir and Baszler gave themselves. The quartets are fans of pro wrestling, but Correia has a plan in place.

Cris Cyborg.

After the fight was announced, Cyborg retweeted it on Twitter along with photos of herself and Correia taking down the group. Correia bested Duke earlier this year and immediately flashed four fingers after before dropping one to signify that she had three challenges left.

“I believe in (Correia),” Cyborg posted. “God bless you. I am here for any help.”

Baszler and Correia had several interactions on the social media site before the Duke fight, and the alum of The Ultimate Fighter was visible distraught after the Brazilian was declared the winner.

Correia mentioned that she would be honored to have Cyborg in her corner. The former Strikeforce champion has been the focal point of several comments made by both Rousey and UFC president Dana White.

For now, Baszler and crew have kept relatively quiet regarding the manner on Twitter. Rousey did state in a previous interview that she was impressed with Correia because the women’s division needed this kind of attitude and excitement around fights.

One does have to wonder if White will allow Cyborg to corner Correia? He’s tried in the past to keep certain people – Randy Couture – from cornering fighters, including his own son.
