Ahead of Cris Cyborg’s Invicta FC 15 fight against Daria Ibragimova tonight, there has been much speculation as to whether or not she would still be open to dropping to 135 for a potential superfight with Ronda Rousey.

While the hype behind a potential Rousey vs. Cyborg fight has certainly dwindled since Rousey lost to Holly Holm at UFC 193, Holm has since stated that she would be open to fighting Cyborg.

Cyborg spoke to MMAFighting to discuss why she won’t drop to 135, and why she’s open to fighting Holly Holm.

“No more 135,” Cyborg said. “Superfight? Yeah. I think that’s fair. Somebody can go up a little bit, I’ll go down a little bit.”

In regards to a potential fight with Holm, Cyborg said:

“She’s the champ and if she says she wants fight me, then we can fight. I think it’s good for women’s MMA if we can fight. She knows I cannot go to 135, it’s too hard.”
