Cris Cyborg has been training for her highly anticipated bantamweight debut at Invicta 10 in December, however after a serious ankle injury in training, Cyborg will likely have to undergo surgery, further postponing her bantamweight debut.

Stepping in for Cyborg in the main event against bantamweight champion Michelle Waterson will be Herica Tiburcio.

Cyborg’s injury was described on the Invicta FC 9 broadcast on UFC Fight Pass as a “full thickness rupture of the anterior talofibular ligament”.

No word yet on how long Cyborg will be out.
