The rumor mill has been turning recently about changes to the card for UFC 175. Undefeated Daniel Cormier was originally said to be matched up with Rafael Cavalcante or Ryan Bader, according to an earlier report on BJPENN.COM. However, undisclosed sources have said that the chance to fight Cormier has now been given to veteran H-bomb-thrower, Dan Henderson, in lieu of his recent victory against Shogun Rua.
Though the fight would be interesting because of their similar backgrounds, (Cormier was a member of the 2004 and 2008 and US Olympic Wrestling Team and just came off of his own knockout victory last month; Henderson was a member of the 1992 and 1996 US Olympic Wrestling team and literally punched Shogun Rua’s nose in for a jaw-dropping TKO victory) there is still one thing standing in the way of the bout: Dana Whites confirmation. Monday night, Dana took to twitter to combat the original report by Ariel Helwani on twitter.
@arielhelwani Ariel is not correct. That fight is not done

The UFC is expected to make an official announcement in the coming days regarding Cormier’s new fight over the huge Fourth of July weekend. We will keep up updated on any changes to the possible match-ups.
