Congressman Silva? Wandy Says Yes To Political Seat In Brazil

January 11, 2014 10:28 am by Derek Langhorn

Wanderlei Silva, once one of the most feared fighters in all of MMA, has now set his sights on something that just might be more scary than facing Silva in his prime. Being a politician.

Silva is already set to compete against Chael Sonnen on the upcoming third season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, but after he finishes that, he plans on running for congress as a part of the Brazilian Social Democracy Party.

“I’ll go to the TUF house, knock Sonnen out and then start my campaign,” Silva said in a press release.

Silva is unenthusiastic about the current political state of his home country, and claims that corrupt politicians are a major problem in Brazil.

“[I want] no more corrupt politicians stealing from us,” he said. “This generation needs to go to jail, retire or die. It’s the time for the good people, but we need to do something. It needs to be good for everybody.”

Would you guys vote for Wanderlei Silva? I know I would.
