Condit Doesn't Want A Rematch, Says Ellenberger

“I think the fans do want it, but at the same time, I don’t know if that’s what the UFC wants or not. I really don’t. If it was up to me, then yeah, we’d probably be fighting in May or June, but I don’t know if that’s what the UFC wants. I think they kind of still put it in Condit’s hands, but I know Carlos. I know his manager, and I know they don’t want that fight. But again, if I put myself in their shoes, I don’t blame them.”

While a guest on the sherdog radio network, top UFC welterweight Jake Ellenberger explains that he doesn’t think Carlos Condit wants a rematch with him.

Ellenberger entered the UFC in a fight against Condit. The three-round war ended in a split decision that the judges awarded Carlos. To date that has been the only loss for Jake inside the Octagon and he wants his shot at redemption.

With GSP out until November at the earliest, should the UFC really be focusing on making this match happen?
