Commission Changes Time For Iaquinta Stoppage From UFC FN 50

By BJPENN.COM News - September 15, 2014

The official stoppage time for Al Iaquinta’s TKO win over Rodrigo Damm has been officially changed from 2:41 to 2:26.

While this may seem irrelevant and unimportant, the difference is of extreme importance to betters who wage bets on if the fight will end in the first or second half of the round or even bout.

As an example, if a better bet Iaquinta would beat Damm via TKO in the first half of the third round he would not have been paid for Iaquinta’s stoppage, because the official time was 2:41, 11 seconds past the halfway mark of the round.

MMAJunkie spoke with Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Gaming Commission & Athletic Division Vice Chairman Kenny Reels about the change:

“After reviewing the stoppage and communication with our official timekeeper, the correct stoppage is 2:26 into the third round,”
