Cerrone Eyes Third 2014 Opponent, Khabib/Johnson Top Short List Of Options

By BJPENN.COM News - May 1, 2014

After successfully dispatching Edson Barboza two-weeks ago at UFC on FOX 11 (See the replay HERE), Donald Cerrone has reportedly booked his next fight.

We just don’t know who that is yet.

At the top of the list is of course, rising lightweight, Khabib Nurmagomedov. But also on the radar for the UFC’s most fan friendly lightweight is a possible clash against, Blackzilian, Michael Johnson.

UFC Tonight broke the story on FOX Sports 1:

“He’s looking for fight number three this year, and he said he has a fight but wouldn’t tell me who it is against. What I’m hearing, the UFC is interested in Cowboy vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov. Nurmagomedov’s team says they haven’t been approached, but would take it if asked. Michael Johnson wants to fight Cowboy as well.”
