There has been a lot of back and forth lately between Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and “King” Bobby Green. If you haven’t heard the whole story, I’ll break it down into a quick summary.
Cowboy slighted Green by dropping the fight he was supposed to have with Green at UFC 178 and taking a fight against Bellator’s Eddie Alvarez instead. This obviously upset Green, and he proceeded to go in on Cowboy during an interview with the MMA Hour on Monday. Besides calling him the “most obnoxious asshole” he’d ever met, he also laid down a bunch of claims that Cowboy had said some “racist stuff” at Green’s first UFC Fan Expo and was groping and being inappropriate with female fans there.
Now in a recent interview with Sherdog, Cowboy addresses Bobby Green’s claims and sends him an ominous message.
“That was two years ago, ya’ know? Why didn’t any of this come out? Why didn’t a fan file a lawsuit or say, ‘Yo, Cowboy is groping my wife,’ c’mon. Or racist comments … I have three black guys that live with me. So if I was racist, I couldn’t even let something like that … it’s just funny to me. Talk all you want. If the fans want to believe him, go ahead. If you take Bobby Green’s word, a guy who just wants to say dumb comments … I got nothing to say to the guy other than one day I’ll see you Bobby Green.”
