“I probably don’t have too much longer,” the former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) champion told Ariel Helwani. “This is my shot.”

Condit (30-8 MMA) won the interim belt back in 2012 against Nick Diaz at UFC 143 and since has lost to former champs George Saint Pierre, Johny Hendricks and most recently to Tyron Woodley. A win over Thiago Alves in May got Condit his shot against Lawler. Condit is still only 31 years old, but has been through many battles against top competition through his 13 year career.

“I’m just gonna go in there and do what I do, try to win by any means necessary.” Condit said.

The black belt in Gaidojutsu knows that the opportunity is here and the time is now for Jackson-Winklejohn fighter. “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler will be defending the welterweight strap for the second time after successfully defending his belt against Rory McDonald. Who do you see winning this battle?
