C.B. Dollaway and Cezar Ferreira will face off at a to-be-announced UFC Night Card on March 23, the Brazilian media outlet Combate reported on Tuesday.
MMAFighting.com later confirmed the match up, for which contracts are expected to be signed soon.
The two were originally set to fight at UFC on FX 8 in May, but both fighters were forced out of the bout due to injuries. Dollaway was first replaced with Chris Camozzi, and Ferreira later pulled out and was replaced with Rafael Natal.
Dollaway (13-5) is an All-American wrestler from Arizona State University. He is coming off a recent loss to Tim Boetsch at UFC 166, though he won his two previous fights against Daniel Sarafian and Jason Miller.
Ferreira (7-2) has fought to a perfect 3-0 inside the UFC. The winner of the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” most recently defeated Daniel Sarafian in November, and he looks to keep his UFC record unblemished this March.
In a recent interview with MMAFighting.com, Ferreira acknowledged Dollaway’s wrestling abilities, but said that he is “going there to knock him out.”
The March 23 card in Natal, Brazil will also feature Fabio Maldonado and Gian Villante in a light heavyweight bout.Tags: C.B. Dollaway, cb dollaway, Cezar Ferreira, mma, MMA NEWS, The Ultimate Fighter, the ultimate fighter brazil, TUF, tuf brazil, ufc, ufc fight night, ufc news
