| Word hit the news circuit today that recent TUF contestant Robert McDaniel is slated to take on Swedish fighter Magnus Cedenblad on August 28th at UFC on FOX Sports 1: 2 in Indianapolis. Brazilian news source Ataque Total first reported the news.
The card is scheduled to be headlined by a rematch between welterweights Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann. This show will mark the second event hosted by the UFC on FOX Sports 1 , with the first scheduled for the launch of the channel on August 17th in Boston.
Bubba recently competed on Season 17 of The Ultimate Fighter where he lost in quarterfinals to Uriah Hall. He rebounded in his official UFC debut at the TUF 17 Finale when he submitted Gilbert Smith. This fight will mark McDaniel’s second official fight inside the UFC octagon.
Magnus Cedenblad will also be making his second UFC appearance. His first came in April of last year. He lost his UFC debut by submission to Francis Carmont at UFC on FUEL TV 2 in Sweden. That fight snapped a seven-fight winning streak for Cedenblad and he’ll be looking to put together another successful run starting on August 28th when he takes on McDaniel in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The UFC has not yet officially announced the bout but it looks like it is going to be a part of the second UFC show on FOX Sports 1 at the end of August.
