BOOKING ROUNDUP: UFC Books 10 Bouts For Upcoming Events

The UFC has been especially busy this past week booking matchups for upcoming fights.

Catch up with all of the latest matchmaking happenings with BJPENN.com’s Booking Roundup!

First up we have 3 additions to “UFC Fight Night 62” on March 21st in Rio De Janeiro. The first being Katsunori Kikuno vs. Kevin Souza. Kikuno is coming off a submission win over Sam Sicilia, and is 8-1 in his last 9. Souza on the other hand is 2-0 in the UFC, and riding a 9-fight win streak into the bout.

Next up we have Christos Giagos vs. Jorge De Oliveira. Giagos is coming off a loss in his UFC debut Gilbert Burns, whereas De Oliveira is also 0-1 in his UFC career, losing his debut to Diego Lima.

Last up on “UFC Fight Night 62” we have Bentley Syler vs. Fredy Serrano, both fighters will be making their UFC debut on the event, with both men being alumni of TUF Latin America. Syler is 5-0 in his professional MMA career, while Serrano is 1-0 in his MMA career.

Next up we have 5 bouts added to “UFC Fight Night: Edgar vs. Faber”, which goes down May 16th in the Philippines.

First up we have Tae Hyun Bang vs. Jon Tuck. Hyun Bang is coming off a KO win over Kajan Johnson, whereas Tuck is coming off a decision loss to Kevin Lee.

Next up we have Kajan Johnson vs. Zhang Lipeng. Johnson is coming off a KO loss to Tae Hyun Bang, whereas Lipeng is coming off a loss to Chris Wade at “UFC Fight Night: Boston”.

Next we have Yao Zhikui vs. Nolan Ticman. Zhikui is coming off a loss to Royston Wee in his UFC debut, dropping his pro MMA record to 1-2. Ticman on the other hand is coming off a loss to Frankie Saenz in his UFC debut.

Next we have Li Jingliang vs. Roger Zapata. Jingliang is coming off a split decision loss to Nordine Taleb, whereas Zapata is riding a 4-fight win streak into his UFC debut.

Last but not least on this card, we have Jon Delos Reyes vs. Roldan Sangcha-an. Delos Reyes is 0-2 in his UFC career, and likely finds himself in a ‘must win’ situation to stay with the promotion. Sangcha-an on the other hand is coming off his first professional loss, in his UFC debut.

Next up we have Aisling Daly vs. Claudia Gadelha, which goes down at “UFC Fight Night: Poland” in April. Daly is coming off a win in her UFC debut at the TUF 20 finale after being eliminated in the quarterfinals. Gadelha on the other hand is 1-1 in her UFC career, and is coming off a split decision loss to Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

Last but certainly not least we a replacement to an already announced bout. Tony Martin will be stepping in for Matt Wiman to fight Leonardo Santos at “UFC Fight Night 62” on March 21st. Martin is coming off his 1st promotional win after going 0-2. Santos on the other hand is 2-0-1 in the UFC, and riding a 7 fight win streak into the bout.

In addition to the above-mentioned bouts, as we previously reported, Frankie Edgar will face Urijah Faber in Manilla on May 16th. Sarah Kaufman will face Alexis Davis at UFC 186 on April 25th; and last but not least Jacare Souza vs. Yoel Romero has been rescheduled for UFC on FOX 15 on April 18th.
