Betting Odds: Conor McGregor Opens Up as Early Favorite over Cole Miller

March 13, 2014 6:03 am by Connor Woodard

Despite the match-up not even being announced yet, Irish gambling website PaddyPower has marked Conor McGregor as a nearly 2-1 favorite over Cole Miller, meaning that a successful 100 dollar bet on the Irishman would net roughly 50 dollar profit.  MMAMania first announced the news. The line has moved since then, with McGregor now an even greater favorite, sitting at +225.

While the fight hasn’t been officially announced, Dana White said it’s a “possibility,” and the two have been trading lighthearted jabs for several months.

Conor McGregor (14-2, 2-0 UFC) is undefeated in the UFC, where he has stopped Marcus Brimage and won a decision over Max Holloway. The Irishman has been sidelined since the Holloway fight, with a torn ACL, but he will presumably be ready to fight on the upcoming UFC fight night card in Dublin, Ireland, where the Irishman is already a massive star. Miller (21-8, 10-6 UFC) is also on a two-fight winning streak in the UFC, most recently submitting Sam Sicilia with a rear-naked choke in January.
