Bellator’s Patricky ‘Pitbull’ Wants Lightweight Champ With Victory Tonight

“Will Brooks is a clown. He likes attention. He’s a needy child. He always craves attention. He started messing with me even before my tournament final against Marcin Held. He challenged me and he was already the champion. I had never messed with him before that. I’d always watch his fights. He’s tough and a true athlete, but he talks a lot. He only talks crap. He’s a clown who craves attention.

“(Twitter) can be a way to sell fights. But he’s talked too much now. A few times, he tried to smile and shake my hand, after talking crap on Twitter. But I’m not interested in talking. My talking will be done when my fist meets his chin.”

“I think that if I win this fight, since there are no more tournaments, I’ll be very close to the belt. Brooks and Held are fighting later this year. I wish for another fight as soon as possible so that I keep my fighting rhythm. I don’t want to be idle, as before. If Bellator can keep me busy, I’ll be ready to fight for the belt at any moment.”

Bellator’s Patricky Freire will be fighting in Friday night’s co-main event against Saad Awad. Even before that fight, ‘Pitbull’ is already looking forward to a title fight with the current Bellator lightweight champion Will Brooks, according to his interview with MMAJunkie.

The two have been battling on Twitter for a while now, and actually most recently it was Patricky’s brother, Patricio who got into it with Brooks.

Patricky feels with a win tonight, he’ll be very close to getting that fight with Brooks so he can shut him up.
