Bellator Boss Thought Tito Would Cancel Tonight’s ‘Freak Show’ Against Shlemenko

By BJPENN.COM News - May 17, 2014

“I love the fight (between Ortiz and Shlemenko). I love the fight for that reason, I’ve called it a freak show and people say, ‘Why you do you call it a freak show?’ Because it is a weird fight, and we don’t get the chance to do that. We got the tournament format where a 205er fights a 205er. If I put Tito against some 205er you and I picked out of a hat in the top 25 or 30 in the world, I think everybody would have gone womp, womp, womp. But Shlemenko brings this weird intrigue to it.”

Bellator President Bjorn Rebney is entering the world of pay-per-view tonight with Bellator 120 and his middleweight champion is welcoming a much larger Tito Ortiz to the promotion.

In THIS interview, Bjorn talks about the whole event and breaks down the importance of the card.
