Bellator 133 Results: Weichel Upsets Curran in Close Fight

Weichel vs Curran

Daniel Weichel pulled off the huge upset win over favorite Pat Curran! The bout went the distance and the judges gave him the victory by way of split decision, but it was an impressive performance by both men. The fight was the co main-event of Bellator 133 which took place in Fresno, California on Friday night.

It seemed as if Curran could not find a comfortable striking distance as he never landed anything significant. This lead to a back and forth fight which could have reasonably ended in either fighter gaining a victory or a draw. Weichel took advantage of any missteps Curran took as he caught him off guard with swift combinations.

Daniel Weichel remains undefeated in Bellator and is currently 4-0. Is he next in line for a shot at the title? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
