Renan Barao in an interview with TATAME.
Barao comments on his July 7th bout against Urijah Faber for the Interim Title.
“My preparation is the best possible. I’m thrilled. My training is very intense, strong and what changed was the game plan.”
On when he found out he would be fighting for the title.
“I knew it at that time. Pederneiras hasn’t comment with me, he told me we were going to Las Vegas to sign some things and solve some contract issue. When I was there I heard I was fighting for the belt.”
On his game plan for Faber.
“I can’t tell you my game plan (laughs). I’m training and very focused. I’m sure it will all work out just fine. I always have a surprise coup. I intend to use it this time.”
On getting the chance to fight for the title.
“We’ve been working for years to get this chance, which is to become a champion. Thank God I’m having this chance and I’m going to embrace it.”
On nerves when entering the octagon to face Faber for the interim title.
“I’m going to be fine. I’m focused, training 100 percent. Of course you get nervous, but it’s normal and we know how to handle it. God will help me to be the best man I can in there and put on a great show.”Tags: bantamweight, featured, mma, MMA NEWS, renan barao, ufc, ufc news, Urijah Faber
